A classic, and genuine, Rick Jeanneret call. THose were the days!!
Unfortunately a lot of his calls now are exagerrated, and his partner Harry is a tool. Any word on their plans for next year? |

RJ said he didn't call enough games this past year. Hopefully that means he'll call more games this year. And yea, I miss Jim Lorentz. |

RJ is slipping..
Harry is terrible.. the fact that he called Ryan Miller by his brothers name has to be the worst.. Ryan a well known star goalie for the team you are calling who is quite easy to pick out on the ice gets called his brothers name who at the time had about 12 games in the NHL as a winger.. How does that happen? |

If Alex Mogilny didn't break his leg, the Sabres win the cup that year. Yes, we were swept by Montreal (who won the cup), but every game was one goal, three of the four in overtime. Mogilny was on a tear in that playoffs before breaking his leg. |

RJ said it best himself. You knew something special was happening. He deked one of the best defensemen out of his skates, turned him inside out!!!! |

RJ is past his prime but still lightyears ahead of Kevin Sylvester. Is there no one better out there to take over for RJ than KS? KS knows this team and hockey well, but he is not someone I want to listen to for a couple hours calling a game.
Who else could we get to call the games? |

The guy that does the play by play for Rochester is pretty good. I like the way he calls the games. Caught a few of them throughout the season that were broadcast on TWC Sportsnet. |

KS getting the nod to succeed RJ would be the final nail in the coffin that there is no quality control in this organization. However, with that said, despite his improvements, KS will never get the pxp for this team. I don't have any suggestions but I do know there are a ton of talented hockey people who could probably do it. You don't have to have someone from the inside to do this. You could argue it may help the passion, but the national guys (who most are nauseating) do this on a weekly basis. |

Bring it on. Thigpen/Smith/? is not the answer to a competent backup. Hell, he could very well be a better QB than Fitz.
In all honesty, I love where Gailey and Nix are heading the team but let's be brutally honest. Fitz is not going to get you to the promised land. |
